Injury Rehabilitation

Recovering from any injury, depending upon its severity, can sometimes be a long and painful process and rehabilitation is vital for a fast and full recovery.

An injury that has not been fully rehabilitated is far more likely to recur and once healing has completed there is more chance that the affected area will not function as well as it did before the injury.  An individually tailored programme of exercises will be designed to get you functioning again, in the fastest time possible.

We work closely with other health professionals such as Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Podiatrists and injury rehabilitation specialists in the area making sure you are supported throughout your injury rehab.

Our studios have the latest technology that will aid your recovery from injury. Vibrogym is a piece of equipment that assists in increasing muscle strength and tone, and eliminating any possible stress on joints by stimulating 100% of the muscle fibres through small vibration frequencies

Sports Massage Therapy

What is sports massage therapy?

Sports Massage Therapy is the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of a soft tissue injury.  Treatment is based upon the application of deep tissue massage.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be a sports related injury. Maybe you’ve been suffering from chronic neck or back muscular pain whilst working on your computer, or you’ve had a fall and twisted your ankle.  

Treatment

Injuries are treated through the application of Sports Massage. A combination of Deep Tissue Massage and Muscle Energy Techniques are used to speed up the healing of injuries and get you back up and running.

Deep tissue massage works by manipulating the lymphatic system, the circulatory system and the muscles themselves. Much of the pain experienced after an injury is caused by the surrounding muscles going into spasm in an attempt to protect the injury. Massage helps to relax these muscles and provide welcome pain relief.

Pre and post sports massage

Massage before and after a sporting event can both improve performance and aid recovery afterwards. Pre sport massage helps to stimulate blood flow and warm up muscles in preparation for activity. The better prepared you are for activity, the better you will perform!

Post sport massage helps to soothe sore and aching muscles and promote a faster recovery.
